A meeting of two outstanding, legendary musicians, Vlatko Stefanovski and Vasko Atanasovski, combined with the superb Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra yields a wonderful and breath-taking musical experience.

Both passionate and sublime composers have created a marvellous musical offering full of magical sounds from the country of sun and water, fire and ice.

Violin’s longing is beautifully combined with the vibrant solo parts performed by these two brilliant virtuosos who both excel in their unique energetic expression. The concert brings you the charming, passionate and dreamy music by the two composers combined with their arrangements of Slovene and Macedonian folk music.

Vasko Atanasovski, born and residing in Slovenia, is part Macedonian; his collaboration with Vlatko Stefanovski is a return to his southern roots.

Legendary Macedonian guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski was born in 1957 in Prilep, Macedonia. He is well known for his unique guitar technique and tone. With his Vlatko Stefanovski Trio he has performed around the world. In 2007 Stefanovski was honoured a Doctorate honoris causa in the fields of art at the University St. Kiril and Metodij / Skopje. He lives in Skopje/Macedonia with his family and owns a well-equiped project studio named ˜Esoteria Sound Studio

The Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra consists of fourteen string musicians, members of the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra was founded in 1993 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia with the purpose of performing on those stages in Slovenia that are unable to accommodate a full symphonic orchestra. During the eighteen years of its existence, the Slovene Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra, recast as a society in 1999, has given about 400 concerts in Slovenia and abroad.
